Dr. Michael Lynde, DPM

Michael J. Lynde, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, is a licensed and experienced podiatrist in Newtown, PA. He provides a wide range of services to patients of all ages in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, at Newtown Foot and Ankle Specialists.

Known for his compassionate and caring approach, Dr. Lynde is dedicated to improving the quality of life of his patients through education, surgical expertise, and cutting-edge technology. He specializes in the forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery and is passionate about wound care and healing challenging wounds to get people back on their feet again.

Born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Dr. Lynde earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He continued his education at the Temple University in Philadelphia where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

He then joined the prestigious San Francisco Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency program at the Kaiser Permanente hospitals in San Francisco, Oakland, and Walnut Creek, California, to complete his residency and surgical training. During his residency, Dr. Lynde had the opportunity to train under many internationally recognized foot and ankle surgeons with an emphasis on complex foot and ankle surgery and limb salvage.

Dr. Lynde is dual-board-certified in both foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Lynde also excelled in academics and was a member of the Pi Delta National Honor Society and the Stirling-Harford DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society during his graduate years.

Dr. Lynde lives in Newtown with his wife, Pamela, and their daughters. He believes in giving back to the community and is an active member of many local charities. He is a third-generation foot and ankle specialist in a bloodline of podiatrists, including his father Dr. William S. Lynde, who has selflessly served the communities around  Newtown for more than 35 years.

William S. Lynde, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, is a highly skilled podiatrist with over 35 years of experience of diagnosis and treatment of foot, ankle, and lower leg medical conditions from infancy to adulthood. He is known for his individualized, courteous, and friendly approach toward all his patients at his founding practice, Newtown Foot and Ankle Specialists in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Lynde graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, where he was very active in extracurricular activities and leadership roles, and headed several committees. He later received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Philadelphia’s Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, formerly the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine.

He completed his residency at Jefferson Health, Bucks County Campus, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, where he was recognized for his outstanding and dedicated service. He is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and holds a fellowship with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Lynde is a current member of the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association, and a past member of the Pi Delta National Honor Society, the National Podiatry Honor Society, and the Philadelphia County Podiatry Society.

Besides being a compassionate and expert podiatric, Dr. Lynde also excels in academics. He was the former chairman of the Jefferson Health and course director at the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association surgical seminar.

Dr. Lynde is a current faculty member at the Jefferson Frankford Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center in Pennsylvania and has held faculty positions at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico and California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California.

He is the current chair of the Department of Podiatry at Temple University. Dr. Lynde has dedicated his career to patient education and providing the highest quality of care in which patients always come first.

Dr. Lynde is also a father of three, and his son Michael J. Lynde (mentioned above) has followed in his footsteps as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) by also serving as a podiatrist at Newtown Foot and Ankle Specialists.


Dr. Jaclyn Reed

Dr. Jaclyn Reed has expertise in treating all aspects of conservative and surgical foot and ankle pathologies. She completed her 4-year residency training at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania Health System – Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she received comprehensive surgical training in foot and ankle reconstruction, total ankle replacement, arthroscopy, limb salvage, and trauma. Her residency training also included multi-disciplinary training in vascular surgery and plastic surgery, as part of the Penn Advanced Limb Preservation initiative. During her final year of training she served as chief resident, and presented her research poster at the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery Annual Scientific Conference.

Dr. Reed attended Temple University’s School of Podiatric Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA, where she received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing Award. She is a member of the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society, as well as the Stirling-Harford DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society. She also holds memberships with the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association.

Prior to pursuing a career in podiatric medicine and surgery, Dr. Reed received her Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, where she played Division I softball. During her time as a NCAA Division I athlete, she was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic Third Team All-America. She was also a NFCA NCAA Division I All-America Scholar Athlete, and served as team captain during her senior year. 

As a former athlete, Dr. Reed has a special interest in treating athletes of all skills and ages, and is determined to provide conservative and surgical solutions to return her patients to competition. She has a passion for sports medicine, complex reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, as well as forefoot surgery. She places an emphasis on helping her patients regain their quality of life and getting back on their feet, while addressing their individual needs and goals. Dr. Reed wants all her patients to leave the office feeling fully informed, and approaches all patients with a down to earth demeanor and compassion. She believes in exhausting conservative therapies when possible, and offers all facets of surgical expertise and utilizes advanced technologies.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her 3 rescue dogs. She also enjoys skiing and snowboarding, fishing, riding the Peloton, and going to the beach.


Dr. Margaret Kerins, DPM, DABPM, AACFAS

Dedicated podiatrist Margaret Kerins, DPM, DABPM, AACFAS, brings extensive expertise in all areas of foot and ankle care to the team at Newtown Foot & Ankle Specialist. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She has a special interest in ankle arthroscopy, sports medicine, minimally invasive surgery, and both pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction.

A Delaware County native, Dr. Kerins was born and raised in Ridley Park. She completed her undergraduate training at Ursinus College, where she served as Vice President of her class and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology and a minor in neuroscience.

Dr. Kerins earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She graduated at the top of her class, receiving multiple awards and scholarships, including “The Alumni Award for attaining the highest performance in the four years of study” as well as the “Clinical Science Award in attaining the highest average in clinical science.”

She went on to complete her three-year Surgical Residency at one of the premier programs in the country, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, in Northern Virginia. During training, she earned Resident of the Year honors and served as the Chief Resident. She has performed a wide range of procedures, from elective bunion and hammertoe surgery to more complex rearfoot and ankle reconstruction.

Whether it is conservative care or surgical intervention, Dr. Kerins strives to deliver personalized, compassionate, and superior patient care for the relief of foot and ankle pain, consistently supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine. She is active in research and was recently honored at our annual American College of Foot and Ankle.
