Our Technology

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment option for patients with plantar fasciitis and tendonitis. Our professional team at Newtown Foot and Ankle Specialists want to help patients treat their chronic pain. During treatment, high-pressure waves induce a microtrauma to the affected tissue. This microtrauma begins a healing response in the body, causing blood vessel formation that signals for increased blood flow to the tissue in the feet.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics are shoe or heel inserts that are custom-made and used to help relieve foot and ankle pain. Using 3D imaging, we can determine the exact measurements of your feet. This information is used to fabricate custom orthotics that are made for your comfort. Orthotics are used to address back pain, bunions, flat feet, foot and ankle injuries, arthritis, heel pain, and hammertoe.

Lapiplasty

Our professional podiatrists offer an alternative to traditional bunion surgery called the Lapiplasty® Procedure. This treatment eliminates the need for cutting and shifting the metatarsal bone. During this procedure, we simply rotate and shift the bone back into its normal position, reducing the appearance of the bunion bump.

Limb Salvage Therapy

This treatment option helps diabetic patients with severe foot and leg damage through draining fluid, reconstructing joints, removing damaged tissue, and healing wounds with advanced techniques. Limb salvage therapy can save a patient’s foot or leg.
